Customized Programming

  • Our staff develop customized programs of one to five days to meet specific learning objectives for groups of all sizes.

  • Options include environmental education, challenge course, high ropes, DE&I, waterfront (canoeing/kayaking/swimming - in season).

Our experience at PBC is always outstanding! The facilitators are enthusiastic, well-trained, and lead the groups with focus on their program goals and objectives. The facilities are wonderful.”

Outdoor Education

Our “Campus in the Woods” offers 268-acres of opportunity for hands-on experiential learning for charter, district, and independent schools; community-based organizations; colleges; and religious groups. We offer customized programs that help youth develop social & emotional and 21st Century Skills while fostering teamwork and a positive climate. Though designed for youth in fifth grade through college, we accommodate for other age groups upon request.

Participants can engage in unique problem-solving through various challenge course elements, ropes courses, a climbing wall, and a dam rappel. Our site includes a stream, lake, and waterfall, along with a revitalized environmental education center for STEAM activities and a library for reading and reflection.

We work in small groups of 10-12 students, paired with an adult chaperone and our facilitator. Our carefully trained facilitators lead daily activities while your staff supervise youth overnight in the cabins. Most of our staff are Wilderness First Responders.

Best-in-Class Accommodations

  • Accommodations are comfortable and close to nature. We can house up to 140 people in 10 beautiful climate-controlled, hand-hewn log cabins, and two lodges, each outfitted with bunk beds.

  • Egner Lodge includes our Green Restaurant-certified dining room where participants enjoy healthy meals, including organic produce from our garden (in season).

  • Three wash houses serve the site with clean, modern facilities.

  • For adult groups, we have also recently updated several houses and lodges with modern, climate-controlled indoor facilities.

  • For those groups seeking a more rustic experience, we offer many sites to choose from with fire rings and kitchen platforms.
